Introducing the VIP Leaderboard

VIP Leaderboard
We are launching a new VIP Leaderboard for Shanghai Rummy.
This new board gives VIP players a subscriber-only monthly race while keeping the existing Global Leaderboard available for everyone. The goal is simple: if you subscribe and play a lot, your monthly competition should reflect that.
How the VIP Leaderboard Works
The VIP board uses monthly results, but it does not use the Global board's best-10-wins cap.
- Every completed 11-round game still counts by the month the game finishes in UTC.
- The VIP board counts all wins earned while you had VIP status during that month.
- Players are ranked by counted wins first.
- If two players have the same counted wins, the player with the lower total counted score ranks higher.
In short: more VIP-eligible wins means a better VIP rank.
How the Global Leaderboard Works Now
The Global board is still here and its rules do not change:
- Free players can use their first 15 completed games each month for Global eligibility.
- VIP players can use their first 30 completed games each month for Global eligibility.
- Only the best 10 eligible wins count on the Global board.
- Lower total score still breaks ties after counted wins.
What Happens If My VIP Subscription Ends Mid-Month?
Wins you earned while you were VIP still stay on that month's VIP Leaderboard.
If your subscription ends later in the month, we do not remove the VIP-eligible wins you already earned. This keeps the competition stable and avoids punishing players for subscribing earlier in the same month.
If you are no longer a current VIP subscriber, your already-earned VIP results for that month still count on the VIP board.
Why We Built This
VIP players help support the game and often play far more sessions each month than casual players. The VIP Leaderboard gives those players a clearer monthly competition that better matches how they actually play.
